I must tell you before I start that I have not been a morning person and it's really hard for me to keep myself awake in the mornings.
even though I wake up for Fajr every morning. the bed seems to be the dearest and coziest place immediately after I finish off the prayer.
but, my mind shifted from being a non-morning person to a morning person when I read Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod a year ago.
I literally started to labor myself committing to this morning routine. After reading that book I realized sleeping after fajr has been a stumbling block to achieving my dreams.
Thereafter, I devoted myself religiously to not sleep after every fajr and it has really paid me off enormously.
let me tell you; how it can change your life based on my experience.
I found out we can do miracles when we set a particular amount of alone-time for ourselves in the morning.
whatever you have been procrastinating for so long will come head-on to take the command and lead.
you will then know; all you were lacking was setting aside this miraculous time for yourself in the morning.
Tasks and plans that you just couldn't get through for years on end just because you were not able to find time for them and did not have that particular peace of mind won't haunt you anymore.
After following this morning regime I found out that the morning routine sets the tone for the whole day on a very calm and positive note. I noticed whenever I stick to this morning routine, my mood for the whole day remains calm, easy-going, and very creative.
A few small steps taken at the start of the day would keep me grounded for the challenges I face the whole day.
why should you even care about the morning routine?
we, as mothers are caregivers. Caregivers are the people who need to keep their own sanity in check for better performance.
Waking up early enhances our mind, body, soul, and overall wellness. your focus and alertness are at their peak during this time. You are in the right gear to tackle your most difficult and daunting tasks at this part of the day.
when your emotional cup is filled you are better able to fill your kid's emotional cup. you can't pour from an empty cup. can you?
Circadian Rythm:
There is a biological clock set inside us by Allah called Circadian Rythm. if we go against this rhythm our performance depletes. our physical body manifests it in the form of diseases. Our body releases a hormone called Melotinon around 9 pm, this hormone is responsible for our sleep.
Melotinon secretion decreases around 7am, which is why when we go against the biorhythm of sleep and we do the right opposite of what we are required to, we suffer mental and physical symptoms.
How we go against the Biorhythm?
when we are supposed to sleep, around 9pm ahead; we keep ourselves busy with worldly chores and when we are supposed to busy ourselves in the chores early in the morning then we are sleeping.

How to go about for a miracle morning?
1. Try to wake up an hour or two before your kids wake up.
2. Have something to drink or eat; or whatever works for you usually.
3. Taking a shower before starting a routine will put your energies into gear. it will increase your dopamine level and bring you to an alpha state. where you can get all the new ideas and thoughts that you won't get at any other part of the day. plus, taking a shower will drag drowsiness out of the window.
4. Allocate a place for yourself like a study room or any other room where you can sit alone. don't opt for a bedroom. when you opt for the bedroom it will usually cause you to sleep again.
5. Start by writing a journal. if you are not a fan of journaling, start to scribble anything like a list of the things you feel grateful for, your life challenges, visions, goals, anything, and everything. you will get a knack for it over time. Do some planning for your Homeschooling day.
6. Now if you're a reader you can choose to pick up a book to read for around 20 minutes.
7. if you are more of a kinesthetic person choose to do a 10 to 20 minutes workout even before grabbing a book. I can't stress enough how important a daily workout for mothers is. it's crucial for your mental and physical health. it puts your brain into action. you will attest to it if you follow a workout routine daily.
8. follow your heart, it's the time to rekindle your long-suppressed passions in life. start a hobby that you have been wanting to.
Disclaimer:
if you cant sketch out time for that long you can start with a small amount of time even as less as half an hour will bring a change in your mood.
But mothers who have little kids should not force themselves for this routine since their child's needs are different from kids of older ages.
Don't pressurize yourself for it if your kids don't let you. Go with the flow. as the kids get older, you will automatically find time to lay aside for your miracle morning.
Warning:
Mothers who can reserve time for the morning routine. I must tell them; there is no shortcut for miracle morning. you must have to wake up in the morning to feel the immense and unlimited energy. there's no other way out. you have to do it.
